Wackiness
There can be a vigourous debate over immigration both legal and illegal. However, when the debate turns to dehumanization, villification, intimidation, threats or incitement to violence then it is incumbent upon citizens to firmly address those comments with condemnation. The following is a partial list of quotes with their contributors and sources identified to do just that.

This population growth, people, is what the Rule of Law Resolution and the fight over illegal immigration is all about.

Something more than voting may be needed at this point.

I too am sickened about this PREVENTABLE crime. The “other’s” (as they like to call BVBL posters) will say this is sad but it’s only ONE of the thousands that live herein PWC. The other illegal aliens are just here to improve their lives and do the jobs that no one else will do.
Do they not understand that one horrendous crime committed by an illegal is ONE too many? This is why we want them out of our communities and our country. The simple fact is we do not know which illegal alien is going to be the next to commit that crime. My thought: When does anybody know who will be the next to commit a crime. The fact is that there is no greater propensity for an undocumented person to commit a crime than the average person.

So what should we do?
We’ve been invaded. Let’s stop sugar coating it. The invaders are here. AND our government refuses to do anything about it. Why can’t we just force one of these people into the trunk of our cars and drive them through TX ourselves and leave them at the border?
Something better be done soon before people start killing illegals. We are only a few incidents away from anarchy.
My thought: If you’re conteplating killing an ‘illegal’, go straight to the nearest insane asylum and commit yourself.
Re: New blog rules…Wow, in spite of all the protestations, it didn’t take long for the “censorship” mode to kick in. When you “hold” comments pending approval, you are in effect deciding to censor speech. I thought the promise here was if people decided to post comments some thought offensive, it would be left up…as a source of embarassment to the offending poster…for ALL TIME. What gives?
And the obsession with bvbl and what they do over there has to stop. I mean, really.
PWC,
The choice is yours whether to have a blog experience here or not. I have been here since day 1 and no promises were made.
Nearly every blog owner has first time moderation because of various internet annoyances. Spam, gobbledegoop, filth, etc.
What do you suggest people do to stop obsessing?
Lets think about this statement “My thought: When does anybody know who will be the next to commit a crime. The fact is that there is no greater propensity for an undocumented person to commit a crime than the average person.” MY ANSWER: The fact these people BROKE THE LAW to even be here in the first place puts them at a 100% PROPENSITY TO BREAK THE LAW.
“At least in Virginia, the vast majority of illegal aliens deported have been Hispanic, making the potential for a close correlation that suggests that perhaps more than half of the Hispanic population of Virginia are illegal aliens rather substantial.” ~Greg Letiecq (from bvbl)
hmm…a substantial potential for a close correlation, huh? With such definitive language, it must be true:)
