They chose to name the film “9500 Liberty” but if they were just after documentary and dramatic impact, “Help Save Manassas’ would be a far better name for such a film.

Emma, they lived in Yorkshire. I have always snickered about Bobb-it also.

PR, I totally agree with censored. The alternative would have been to just allow HSM and Fernandez to duke it out. It seems that both would have been at counter-positions since both were in different jurisdictions.

As it is, it has all been neatly recorded, for posterity. My suggestion is to take your ire out on HSM or Fernandez. There is a timeline here. The 9500 crew really are just witnesses of record.

Poor Richard, alas , there are many of us who are PWC residents with Manassas mailing addresses. You, unfortunately, are stuck with us and our bad reputations.

I don’t believe Eric and Annabel exploited anyone. The initial players set the tone and then they (E & A) covered it. Had a reasonable public dialogue taken place about immigration, zoning violations, etc. I imagine both the outcome and the film would have been different.

Poor Richard, Manassas City formed its own city under the gun. Do it now or forever be a town within a county. It didn’t secede under gun fire.

Manassas City certainly gained more than PWC during the Bobbitt exploits. It cost the county police overtime out the whazoooo. The City certainly got the tax revenues from the media circus that took place in and around the courthouse. It looked like a moon landing out there for weeks, with each trial.

I consider the Bobbitts a freebie for the City of Manassas. No fuss no muss.
